What Is Lainee’s Day of Kindness?
Lainee’s Day of Kindness was born out of deep sorrow — and the unmistakable grace that can rise from it.
On December 11, 2022, our Lord took Lainee’s hand from mine and gently led her home.
Nothing prepares you for a moment like that. And when the first anniversary came around, we faced a choice: to let the day be defined by grief… or to let it reflect the way Lainee lived — with love, joy, and quiet kindness for others.
So we chose kindness over sadness.
And Lainee’s Day of Kindness was born.
This year marks our third annual celebration of that choice, and we would love for you to join us.
How? By doing exactly what Lainee did so naturally:
Choose to love someone else, in memory of someone you love.
- There’s no event to attend.
- No sign-up.
- No expectations.
- No pressure.
Just one heartfelt invitation:
Do something kind for someone — big or small — and let love ripple outward
Whether you’re remembering Lainee, honoring your own loved ones, or simply wanting to make the world a little gentler for a moment… you’re invited to take part.
And if you’re looking for inspiration, here are 50 simple ways to share hope and love on December 11.

Share Your LDOK Story (Only If You’d Like To)
If you choose to take part in Lainee’s Day of Kindness this year, we would love to hear how God used your simple act of love. Your stories — big or small — can inspire someone else to step out in kindness too.
But please know this: you never have to share anything publicly.
Some of the most meaningful acts of love happen quietly, seen only by God and the person you blessed — and those moments are precious.
If you would like to share — well, we’d love to share your joy!
Please feel welcome to post your LDOK moments in the comments, send us a private message, or use #LaineesLove.
Together, we can create a ripple of hope and love that reaches far beyond December 11.
