Privacy Policy

Lainee’s Love, LLC operates laineeslove.com from Mesa, Arizona. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a shirt or assistance, volunteer, place an order, or make a donation.

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@laineeslove.com.

1 Information we collect

Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number, preferred way to be contacted, and the content of messages you send us.

Accounts and shirts. Account details, billing or delivery addresses, shirt designs and sizes, order history, order notes, invoices, and fulfillment details. A Hope Shirt request or selected design may reveal information about cancer or someone’s support needs.

Donations. Your name and email address, donation amount, selected fund, one-time or recurring preference, payment status and date, transaction or subscription references, card type, and last four digits.

Volunteer interest. Contact information, skills, experience, interests, comments, and interest in starting a local chapter.

Hands of Hope requests. Requester and site details, who the request is for, the assistance needed, urgency, and circumstances you choose to describe. Follow-up records may include assessments, project scope, scheduling, supplies, equipment, volunteers, and coordination notes.

Technical information. Our website, forms, hosting, and security services may record your IP address, browser or device information, pages or form source, and timestamps. Cookies support login, shopping, and spam prevention.

2 How we use your information

We use information to respond to you, prepare and deliver shirts, manage orders and invoices, process donations and recurring payments, maintain accounts, assess assistance requests, and coordinate volunteer work. We also use records for accounting, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, site security, and legal obligations.

We contact you about the request, order, donation, account, or volunteer opportunities relevant to your participation. Optional promotional messages, if offered, are separate from essential service communications and may be declined.

3 Hands of Hope records

Volunteer interest submissions are stored in Fluent Forms within our WordPress website. Help requests are stored there and copied through our form integration into Google Sheets, where we maintain a working request and project record. Google processes that copy as part of providing its service.

Authorized coordinators may add assessment and contact notes, skills required, supplies required, tools and equipment required, project assignments, dates, and completion or cancellation details. These records are for coordinating assistance; they are not a public list of people requesting help.

Our current Hands of Hope administrator alerts use a submission reference and a login-required link instead of including the requester’s or volunteer’s contact details and full circumstances in the alert. Other correspondence, receipts, and order messages may contain the information needed for their purpose.

Project volunteers or partners may receive practical details needed for their assignment, such as a contact person, work location, timing, and scope. We limit unnecessary sharing of personal circumstances. If you join a GroupMe group, information you post there may be visible to other group members and is handled under that service’s privacy policy.

4 Donations and donor management

Making a donation does not create a Lainee’s Love website login. Stripe maintains payment records and, for recurring gifts, a customer and subscription record associated with your donation email address. Fluent Forms receives the limited donor and payment details listed above. It does not receive your address, full card number, or card security code. We also retain donation information in our accounting records.

Use the Stripe portal linked below or in your thank-you email to change your recurring donation, update billing and payment information, view invoice history, or cancel future recurring payments. Enter your donation email address. If Stripe finds a matching donor record, it emails you a secure sign-in link. If you don’t see the email, check your junk or spam folder. Click the link to open your donor account.

5 Payments

Stripe processes online card payments, including one-time and recurring donations. Card details entered into Stripe payment fields are handled by Stripe. Lainee’s Love does not store full card numbers or card security codes in its website records. We may retain payment references, status, amounts, card brand or last four digits, and subscription details to manage payments and support.

Orders paid by invoice or check still create customer, order, and accounting records even when no online card payment is made. Stripe’s own data practices are explained in its privacy policy.

6 When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information when needed to provide services, coordinate requested assistance, meet legal obligations, or carry out a use you authorize.

Our services include Namecheap for website hosting and email, WordPress with Fluent Forms and WooCommerce for forms, accounts and orders, Google Sheets for Hands of Hope project records, Google reCAPTCHA for spam prevention, and Stripe for payments. Delivery providers receive the information needed to deliver an order. Email and messaging services process communications sent through them.

Authorized administrators, relevant project coordinators, and accounting or professional advisers may access information needed for their work. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or threats to someone’s safety.

Submitting a help request or sharing a personal story does not give us permission to publish it for fundraising or promotion. We seek separate permission before publicly using an identifiable personal story or photograph for those purposes.

If you provide information about someone else, please have their permission or appropriate authority and provide only what is needed. Avoid sending Social Security numbers, passwords, medical records, or full payment-card details through ordinary forms or email.

7 Cookies and outside services

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. WordPress and WooCommerce use them for login, account preferences, shopping carts, and checkout sessions. Google reCAPTCHA uses cookies and processes technical information to help detect spam and automated abuse. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

You can block or remove cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may prevent login, checkout, or form submission from working properly.

When comments or product reviews are enabled, information you submit for publication may be visible to others. Embedded videos or other outside content may allow their providers to collect information and use cookies. Following links to social media, fundraising, or other services takes you to services with their own privacy practices.

Our providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Their privacy notices explain their own processing practices.

8 Storage and retention

Website form submissions, account details, and order records are stored in our hosted WordPress system. Hands of Hope request and project records also reside in Google Sheets. Correspondence, payment services, invoices, and backups may contain additional copies relevant to their purpose.

There is no single automatic deletion period for all records. Some form submissions and account, order, or project records remain until manually reviewed and removed. Retention depends on ongoing service needs, volunteer participation, project follow-up, financial records, legal obligations, disputes, and security.

Deleting a Fluent Forms record does not automatically delete its Google Sheets copy, correspondence, or related records. Privacy requests must consider those locations too. Accounting, legal, or security needs may require continued retention, and backups may persist after removal from active systems.

We use access controls and encrypted HTTPS connections to help protect information. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee complete security.

9 Your choices and requests

Contact support@laineeslove.com to request access to your information, corrections, deletion of information we do not need to retain, or changes to contact preferences. You may ask to stop receiving volunteer opportunities or optional promotional messages. We may still send messages needed to complete a request, administer a payment, or meet a legal obligation.

If you have a website account, you can update available details through My Account. You can request privacy help whether or not you have an account. Account changes or closure do not automatically erase prior orders, invoices, donations, or other records. Please identify your account, order, donation, or request when contacting us; do not email passwords or sensitive identity documents.

We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing records. If applicable law provides additional privacy rights, we will handle your request under that law and explain any limit on what we can provide or delete.

10 Children and policy updates

Children under 13 should not submit information directly through our website. A parent or guardian should contact us about shirts or assistance for a child. Contact support@laineeslove.com if you believe a child has submitted information without appropriate parental involvement so we can review and address it.

We may update this policy as our services and data practices change. The published policy will show its updated date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
